David Teece, PhD

Chairman of the Board  


Serial entrepreneur and return-driven investor Dr. David Teece co-founded and built several enterprises from the ground up, growing cumulative annual exit revenues to over $1 billion. He has served as executive chairman and co-founder of Berkeley Research Group since 2010. Recognized as a leading authority globally on the management of innovation and business model design. He has also authored 200 books and articles on innovation and strategic management. While a part-time professor he has over 180,000 google scholar citations to his publications and the management of intellectual capital. Dr. Teece was recognized by Accenture as one of the world’s top-50 business intellectuals in 2011, inducted into the Thinkers50 Hall of Fame in 2020, and is one the #1 most-cited scholars in management and business.

David earned a PhD in economics from the University of Pennsylvania. He has received eight honorary PhDs, along with Royal honors. He serves or has served as an R&D Advisory Board Member at Saudi Aramco; Strategy Advisor at Intel; International Advisory Board Member at the Research Center for Technological Innovation at Tsinghua University; and advisory board member at Movac Venture Capital Fund.  

Moncef Jendoubi, Ph.D

Founder & Chief Executive Officer  


Dr. Jendoubi trained at the Pasteur Institute, where he held the position of Associate Professor. In 1987, he joined the National Institutes of Health (NIH) as Visiting Professor and became Chief of the Genetics and Molecular Immunology Section in 1990.

At the NIH, his research focused on cell-cell communication pathways. He has authored dozens of publications and holds several patents.

He holds an M.S. in Genetics, an M.S. in Biochemistry, a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, a “Doctorat D’Etat Es Sciences” in Immunology, and a diploma in Bacteriology from the University of Paris

Sebastien Belanger

Director  


Sebastien Belanger is the CEO & Co-Founder of Pilatus Capital. Sebastien also serves as the CEO, Chairman of the Board, and Co-Founder of Zēlos Energy. Prior to founding Pilatus Capital, Sebastien was Vice President & Head of Operations and Strategic Planning at Berkeley Research Group. Sebastien has held executive roles for several other enterprises, including as the CEO of World Mentor and Director of Strategic Planning, Acquisitions and Implementation for Law and Economics Consulting Group.

Sebastien holds a degree in Health Sciences from Grasset College, a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering decorated “On the Basis of Exceptional Qualities of Leadership, Dedication and Engineering Promise” as well as “Excellence in Engineering Design” from McGill University, and an MBA with distinction in Strategy and M&A from UCLA.

Lic. Manuel Martinez Domingo

Lic. Manuel Martinez Domingo is currently President and CEO of Laboratorios Grupo Columbia of Mexico. Laboratorios Columbia Group is a private pharmaceutical company that manufactures and sells pharmaceutical products for diabetes, obesity, oncology, infectious diseases, and inflammatory diseases.

He managed and successfully grew the Columbia Group from 200 employees to 2800 employees with subsidiaries in Canada, Finland, Denmark, Portugal, Spain, the United Kingdom and Argentina, generating an excess of $300 M annually.

Lic. Manuel M. Domingo has 48 years of executive and managerial leadership experience, in Sandoz, American Cyanamid, Searle Mexico, Laboratorio Columbia, and Grupo Columbia.

During his career, he held many board positions including in the Entrepreneurial Latin American Foundation, Ibero-American University, Florida International University, Hospital Medica Sur, Dr. Manuel Gea Gonzalez Hospital and was a member of the Chamber of International Commerce in the United Nations among other prestigious positions.

He earned an MBA with a specialty in Finance and Economics from the Monterrey Technology Institute in Mexico, and a Master's degree in Management from Universidad National Autonoma de Mexico.
